Mark Beyer

Mark Beyer (born October 8, 1950) is a self-taught American artist and former cartoonist. His comics are known for their bleak storylines, often featuring themes of death, disfigurement, depression, and humiliation, contrasted with his geometric drawing style. Many of his works center on the troubled, codependent relationship between the characters Amy and Jordan. Beyer created his final comic strip for the summer 2012 issue of the British magazine ArtReview.
